Ōtaki Hapori Reo

Ngā Hapū o Ōtaki partner with Kapiti Coast District Council (KCDC) to ensure our future has Raukawa ki te Tonga reo, tikanga and values woven into the everyday activities/lives of our whānau, hapū and hapori in Ōtaki.  
We want to grow and proactively support a network of community-based, reorua champions who will partner to collectively and collaboratively lead the direction of Ōtaki Hapori Reo going forward.

    The very first of the reorua boards were posted all around Ōtaki. Together with KCDC these boards were unveiled and presented at Haruatai Park

    Business’s across Ōtaki joined in on the nationwide “Te wā tuku reo” movement
